In Loving Memory of Nazeem Ali: A Legacy of Compassion
Our beloved father, Nazeem Ali, was a man of unparalleled strength, selflessness, and unwavering faith. Born in 1954 in Leguan, Guyana, Nazeem faced life's challenges with resilience and grace. At just 11 years old, he shouldered immense responsibility when his father passed away, leaving him to care for his mother and six younger siblings. Despite his youth, he carried his family through hardship with courage and determination. He threw his family on his back, and never looked back.
Through sheer perseverance, Nazeem achieved incredible milestones. He not only brought his family to Canada to give them a better future but also extended his generosity to countless others, helping many families create new beginnings. A devoted husband and loving father of three, he instilled in us the values of compassion, faith, and hard work.
In October 2023, Nazeem was diagnosed with ALS, a battle he fought with the same resilience he had shown his entire life. On January 17, 2025, he returned to his Creator, leaving behind a legacy of love and selflessness that continues to inspire all who knew him.
To honour his memory and his lifelong dedication to helping others, we have launched this Sadaqah Jariyah Campaign to support emergency relief efforts in Palestine—a cause he held close to his heart. Our father was deeply moved by the struggles of the Palestinian people and often spoke of their resilience and courage. Through this campaign, we hope to continue his legacy of giving and amplify the positive impact he had on the lives of others.
