Empowering Our Mosques, Empowering Our Community

The Langley Muslim community started with regular Friday prayers in a farm owned by one of the brothers in 2007. As the community grew, we conducted Friday prayers at Timms Community Centre in Langley, renting it for two hours every Friday .One year later, a small location was leased across Costco. The community soon outgrew this as well.

Subsequently, a site was leased on Industrial Avenue, but it soon became too small to accommodate the expanding community. We relocated once again to another site on the same street. This is our current location, which can house 150 people at any given time. This forces us to hold several Friday prayers so that the entire Muslim community can attend the Friday prayer.

Today we hope to expand to the new location, that can house 550 worshippers at any given time.

Our subject removal clause is set to kick in March 2024, and our first payment is due on August 2024. We need your support this Ramadan to ensure the local Muslim community can continue to establish prayers and have access to essential services through the new Masjid Al Sahabah. We appreciate your support.

About Masjid Al Sahabah - Langley Masjid

The First Langley Masjid

To build the first Sunni Masjid in Langley, B.C. This Masjid will be a beacon of light for the ever growing muslim community in Langley.

We are in need of a Masjid that can accommodate 500 worshipers at any given time for prayer, with ample space to teach the Holy Quran to our kids and youth.

This waqf will ultimately benefit Muslims in Langley and the broader community as a whole.

Islamic Relief works with communities to strengthen their resilience to calamities, and we provide vital emergency aid when disasters occur.

We help the impoverished access basic services, including education, water and sanitation, as well as healthcare. We provide lasting routes out of poverty through our sustainable development schemes. Our integrated approach to progress is transforming communities worldwide.

We tackle the root causes of poverty and make sure that the world’s most vulnerable people have real influence in both our programs and advocacy.

Our key values, of compassion, justice, custodianship, sincerity and excellence – a critical part of our Islamic faith - inspire us each and every day to create positive change and remember the sanctity of life.

In line with Islamic teachings on the value of every human life, we provide assistance to whoever needs it most, regardless of race, religion or gender. We work to transform and save lives of people in crisis both Canada and across the world.

Let us share the khair from the blessings Allah has bestowed upon us.
