As Muslims, we know that our Islamic centers are not only places of worship but also centers of community life. They have been there for us in times of joy and times of hardship, providing us with a safe space to come together and support one another.

Sabeel Muslim Youth and Community Centre was established to accommodate the rising immigration numbers of new families into Nova Scotia. The Muslim community in Nova Scotia is growing exponentially and the demand for services and activities is on the rise, making a center like Sabeel extremely necessary. 

Allahamdullilah, aside from being a place of worship where Muslims can fulfill their daily prayers, Sabeel Muslim Youth & Community Center is a nonprofit organization whose main focus is to support the development & growth of the Muslim youth within the community through the advancement of educational, social, religious initiatives and activities seeking to revive and strengthen the Muslim identity.

We seek to achieve our goals in collaboration with various Islamic centers not only in Nova Scotia but across Canada. We believe that having more options will further enhance and improve our Muslim community and will push everyone towards excellence Inshallah.

We are also pursuing a charity status to help us further our causes to the broader community by helping to fight poverty in the HRM, coordinate with various charities to help local families, and grow our educational capabilities empowering the next generation to realize their potential of being Canadian citizens beneficial to society.

This is where we, as a community, can make a difference. By giving Sadaqah and donations to support Sabeel Muslim Youth and Community Centre, we can ensure that they continue to be a source of strength and unity for the Muslims of Nova Scotia. Even a small donation can go a long way in helping to pay for the upkeep of the center and the programs and services it offers.

Giving back to our community is a way of fulfilling our religious obligations and showing gratitude for the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us. It is also a way of investing in our community's future and ensuring that future generations have access to the same support and resources that we have had. So that like us, the youth of the Halifax community may also find the solace we have found within the walls of Sabeel Muslim Youth and Community Centre
